The City is now accepting applications for a part-time, on-call temporary Building Inspector.
THE POSITION - We are seeking an experienced, motivated, dedicated individual with background experience in building inspections. The position is on-call and part-time.
The temporary Building Inspector will assist with inspecting residential, commercial, industrial and other types of development projects and improvements throughout all stages of construction, remodeling, demolition and renovation; identify construction deficiencies and deviations from approved plans; issue correction notices and perform re-inspections of the corrective work to ensure compliance with adopted building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related codes and ordinances.
Qualified candidates must have experience, knowledge and the ability to perform building inspections, as well as construction inspections. Additionally, a solid understanding of building codes is vital to being able to provide the highest level of customer service. The position requires effective interaction with residents, business owners, contractors, architects, engineers and internal team members.
