SEDONA, Ariz. -- Did you know that Posse Grounds Park was once home to the Coconino Sheriff's Posse rodeo grounds? And that the posse held weekly rodeos where our ball fields are now located?

The Sedona Parks and Recreation Department invites you to Posse Grounds Park on Friday, Aug.17, 4-7 p.m., as the city celebrates the history of the park at the second annual Sedona Family Foot Rodeo.

This is a free family event.

Join us for bounce-horse barrel racing, mechanical bull riding, dummy calf roping, inflatable wild cow milking, pony rides, a petting zoo, and music by the Dan and Dave Rice Band. The Sedona Heritage Museum will be on site with a history tent and craft activities. and there will be two special live entertainment shows by Loop Rawlins, the one-man wild west show featured on the TV show America’s Got Talent, at 4:30 and 6 p.m. Food will be for sale on site.
