Parks and Recreation 2019 Events & Programs Calendar
Sedona WagFest & Fair: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sept 21th. WagFest & Fair is the perfect day out for dogs and their two-legged friends (owners/family). This canine resource event will feature booths where you can stop, shop and learn from the area’s best dog-related product and service providers. Demonstrations and contests will be scheduled throughout the morning. More information.
Fix It Clinic: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 12. The Fix-it Clinic is a simple idea: bring an item in need of repair, and volunteer fixers will do their best to help fix it. People can bring an assortment of items to be fixed. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: If you are good at soldering, electronics repair, electrical repair, sewing, woodworking or general tinkering and you’d like to volunteer at the Fix-it Clinic, contact Kaileigh Walker at firstname.lastname@example.org or (928)203-5112. Little League: If you are interested in having your child participate in Little League Baseball, call Recreation Coordinator Ali Baxter at (928) 203-5141 no later than October 3. If there is enough interest, the city will schedule further information and discussion sessions.
Splash Pad: September is the last month the splash pad will be open for the year. Located at Sunset Park, open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September 30. Water features are activated on a timer with the push of the button. More information.
Bike Skills Park Maintenance: Our award-winning bike park needs weekly maintenance. Volunteers are appreciated and encouraged to donate a few hours alongside staff to work on the trails. Please let us know if you would like to help. More information.
Facilities Available: Know the park amenities that are available to you. Rental space for birthday parties, meetings, classes, performing arts and all sorts of reasons. Picnic ramadas are available at two parks. Our Recreation Room is waiting and ready. The Pavilion and Hub are bookable for your performing arts needs and private events are welcome as well. Check us out and reserve a venue that works for you. More information.
Pumpkin Splash: Mark your calendars now to purchase tickets for this memorable event. Tickets will go on sale, Monday, October 7, at the Parks and Recreation office, or over the phone at 928-282-7098. The event will take place on Saturday, October 19 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. More information.
