The city of Sedona encourages you to be prepared and sign up to receive emergency alerts from the city, and Coconino or Yavapai County.
City notifications. Sedona Citizens Connect is a free smartphone application that supports push notifications to your cell phone. This system is used by the city of Sedona. The app also allows Sedona residents to help improve neighborhoods by reporting non-emergency issues such as potholes, abandoned vehicles, and loose animals. For more information about the application click here.
County emergency notifications. Coconino and Yavapai counties use the application CodeRED as their Emergency Notification System. CodeRED is a free service that alerts residents and businesses about time-sensitive general and emergency situations that are either imminent or occurring in their communities. Sign up with your county of residence to receive information about emergencies such as flooding, severe weather, or wildfires. You can receive notices through landline and cell phones, text messages and/or e-mails. CodeRED allows geographically-based delivery, which requires a street address to ensure that information is delivered to the proper individuals in any given situation.
