Congratulations to Warren Campbell! Coworkers nominated Warren for his outstanding customer service, professionalism, hard work, leadership, effectiveness and fun! Warren joined the city as a principal planner in 2015, leaving cold and snowy Vail, Colorado for sunny Sedona.

Major Amendments to the Sedona Community Plan - Application Deadline
Public Notice: Major Amendments to the Sedona Community Plan are considered at a single public hearing during the calendar year a proposal is made (ARS 9-461.06). Applications requesting Major Amendments to the Sedona Community Plan must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017. Sign Code Update
The department is currently working on an update to the Sign Ordinance (Article 11 of the Land Development Code). This article of the code sets standards for all signage throughout the city and has not undergone a complete update in approximately 20 years. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended the revised code to City Council on March 30, 2017. A work session with City Council is tentatively scheduled for May 24, 2017. The city is updating its Land Development Code (LDC) which contains the rules for development and re-development within the city. The city has contracted with the consulting team, Clarion Associates, to overhaul the 20-year-old code. Short Term Rental Regulations Amended
On October 11, 2016, City Council amended the Short Term Rental Regulation (Chapter 5.25 of the City Code).
