These low-impact, high energy classes are great for participants looking for a cardiovascular workout as well as those interested in getting to flex their muscles and move with ease while in the water. Instructors can show participants how to modify moves to meet most skill levels.
Danielle Holman was born and raised in beautiful Sedona! She is a licensed Zumba Instructor and Aqua Zumba Instructor. Throughout her youth she played soccer, was on swim team, learned many types of dance, participated in track and field, cross country, basketball and many more sports. After graduating from Red Rock High School she pursued her dream of becoming a professional photographer by getting a BFA in Photography from Arizona State University. After graduating from ASU she also pursued her other goal of becoming a fitness instructor. While building CH Wedding Photography and Align Eye to Eye Photography, she has worked at Curves of Sedona as a manager, fitness instructor and Zumba instructor for over two years. She plans to keep expanding her fitness/health career by getting yoga certified from legendary yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra in New York City in February 2016. Danielle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, dancing, yoga, meditation, hiking, preparing healthy organic food, throwing pottery, drawing, reading and watching her students succeed. She is excited to bring the dance party to the people of Sedona while teaching Aqua Zumba!
Achmed Valk was born and raised in Europe. He trained to become a professional dancer at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and the Theater School in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He graduated as a European licensed Physical Therapist from the Academy of Paramedical Professions at Amsterdam. Achmed came to the U.S. in 1980 as a professional in the performing arts (on stage, teaching , choreographing, and directing). He holds an MFA in Dance with an emphasis in Choreography and Video Composition from the University of California at Irvine. Achmed has resided in Sedona since 1997 and has worked as a professional teacher, fitness coach, specializing in the classic Pilates Method, director/choreographer, massage therapist (certified through the Arizona School of Integrative Studies), certified Human Design analyst, dream analyst and certified hypnotherapist, and intuitive counselor.
