The city has developed a comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan to address current and future parks and recreation sites, programs and events. The plan was created in conjunction with the broader Community Plan Update.

This document may be read or checked out from the Parks and Recreation office at 525 Posse Ground Rd. There is a $50 refundable deposit for checking out the document.
On March 26, 2013, the City Council adopted the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. It is a guiding document and is not intended to be a "must get done" list of projects. The Parks and Recreation budget does not provide enough funding to complete or even initiate all the ideas in the plan.
