The Support Services Division is supervised by Commander Marlayne Hatler. The Support Services Division is comprised of the investigation unit, communication unit, records unit, evidence, and public relations.
Investigation Unit is responsible for investigating all major crime scenes, including but not limited to sex crimes, crimes against children, financial crimes and violent crimes. They may investigate burglaries, thefts and other related crimes. The Investigation Unit works hand in hand with other law enforcement agencies, Coconino County Attorney's Office and Yavapai County Attorney's Office.
Partners Against Narcotic Trafficking (PANT) have been serving the Yavapai County since the mid 1980’s. PANT targets the street level drug dealers in the local communities, including the Sedona area. Communications Center is responsible for the handling of all emergency and non-emergency telephone calls to and from the department, dispatching and receiving information via the radio to and from Officers, and entering and receiving information through various Arizona and national data bases. Records Department is responsible for maintaining and distributing police department records, entering information into several in house data bases, and providing in person customer service.
Vehicle accident reports can be obtained at sedonaaz.policereports.us for a $7.50 fee. If the report is not available, please contact the Sedona Police Department Records Unit at 928-282-3100 to obtain the accident or police report for a $5.00 fee. The fee is subject to change.
School Resource Officer (SRO): The Sedona Police Department has a School Resource Officer at the Sedona Red Rock High School. The primary function of the SRO the safety of the school including proactive planning with administrators to ensure the safety of everyone at the school. Click for further SRO information.
Evidence/Property is responsible for processing all evidence, found property, and property for safe keeping. To schedule a time to release found property or property held for safe keeping, please contact Larry Woodruff, Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 2:00PM at the police department or at 928-282-3100.
Public Fingerprinting is done every Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. There will be no fingerprinting done on Saturday, if it is holiday weekend.
The fee is $7.50 during scheduled fingerprint hours. Dependant on officer availability fingerprinting may also be requested for a fee of $15.00. Please bring exact change or check.

Community Awareness Team offers programs that assist members of the community such as, stranger danger and safety programs for children, personal safety programs, home and business security surveys and many others to help keep the Sedona Community a safe place and prevent crime.
