The Transportation Master Plan is the city's long-range plan for transportation and mobility improves and addresses walkability, bicycle transportation, traffic improvements and public transit. The project has included extensive public involvement including city council meetings, open houses, news releases and surveys to develop strategies and assess community support.

A 2017 online survey designed to gauge support for the various strategies and funding sources to implement them generated 1,700 responses. Respondents were asked how likely they were to support the strategy and various sales tax percentages; here are the results.
