Friday, September 13, 2024- Jon Margulies with Jonathan Cady
Reverend Jon
Reverend Jon’s soaring melodies and wry poetry navigate a landscape of lush sonic textures that he creates in real time layering guitar, keyboard and beats. His unique sonic vision references 1980s synth pop, drawing inspiration from minimalist composers like Steve Reich and art rockers Peter Gabriel and Laurie Anderson.
Also a producer and engineer, Jon is the owner of Old School Studios in Jerome, AZ. His diverse musical career has see him play punk rock at CBGB, jazz at the Village Gate, sing medieval music at the Spoleto Festival and DJ at Coachella.
Jonathan Cady
Borne from the Pacific Coast, Rocky Mountains, and moments of solitude, the acoustic folk tunes of Jonathan Cady can keep you company through both life’s grand adventures and quietest days.
Friday, September 20, 2024 - Charlie McNeal with Austin B. Sweeney
Charlie McNeal
Charlie McNeal is an extraordinary traditional country talent. With a deep and impressive collection of original songs, he is establishing himself as the next true country star.
Charlie had this to say about his music: “I listen to everything. A little bit of Bowie, Metallica, and Gordon Lightfoot. But my roots are country. So, guys like Merle, Waylon, and newer guys like Cody Jinks, Sturgill Simpson, and Eric Church are always part of my sound. I get inspired by anyone who is real and songs that say something.”
Austin B. Sweeney
Austin B. Sweeney is a Pacific-Northwest-born artist, now with roots down in Phoenix, Arizona. His sound combines the organic acoustic sounds of Mumford & Sons, Sturgill Simpson, and Van Morrison, with the electric west coast sounds that harken back to the Eagles, Pearl Jam, and Jackson Browne. His songwriting is self-referential and extremely personal, yet universal. It touches on themes of growth, addiction, freedom, anxiety, spirituality and the pure joy of an open highway.
