Get money to improve your home

In partnership with CozyHome LLC, the City offers homeowners within Sedona city limits up to $5,000 in funding towards home energy efficiency and weatherization services.

The third round of the Home Energy Retrofit Project is open. Submit your application today! Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis.

Eligibility

The project is intended to benefit moderate and low-income residents within Sedona city limits. Eligible residences meet the following criteria:

• Applicant must be the homeowner of the residence.
• Residence must be occupied by the homeowner.
• Funding level is based on reported income.
• All homeowners applying, regardless of income, are eligible for a home energy audit with Cozy Home LLC.

Application

To participate in the program and receive funds for your home, you must fill out the Home Energy Retrofit Project Application. Completed applications should be sent to sustainability@sedonaaz.gov. If you have any questions or accessibility requests, call (928) 203-5127.

Program Benefits

The Home Energy Retrofit Project aims to help fulfill the goals and objectives of the City’s Climate Action Plan. These include:

• Reducing community-wide greenhouse gas emissions
• Lowering home utility costs
• Improving community equity
• Improving home livability

Retrofit Services

Home weatherization and retrofitting services supported by this project include:

• Duct sealing 
• Air sealing
• Insulation repair
• Weather stripping
• Lighting upgrades
• Mini-split installations
• Heat pump installations

Services rendered by CozyHome LLC are determined after a home energy audit and homeowner consultation. Since 2012, CozyHome has provided home energy audits and retrofits for over 1,000 homes in northern Arizona. The program is contingent on funding availability from the City of Sedona.
