Housing is a challenge in Sedona, because of the lack of available land, the fact that we’re surround by National Forest, and the high median home price – which is just under $1 million. Generally speaking, the majority of housing in Sedona is single-family detached houses, leaving Sedona with a lack of diverse housing options:
Local housing programs
The following programs are offered to help with affordable and workforce housing:
- Rent Local - Convert your Short-Term Rental to a Long-Term Rental and receive an incentive payment.
- Down Payment Assistance Programs - Do you work in Sedona and want to buy a home? There are two programs to help eligible households afford a down payment.
- Sedona Workforce Homeownership Assistance Program - Homebuying assistance for eligible employees working within Sedona city limits.
- Sedona Employer Assisted Housing Program - Homebuying assistance for eligible employees of the City of Sedona.
