The city offers volunteer opportunities that benefit both the volunteer and our community. Volunteers superpowers include expertise, time, experience, ideas, and energy. Lend your skills to City projects, programs and tasks. The City seeks to:
- Offer ways to make a meaningful contribution to the operations of the City of Sedona.
- Develop and nurture an effective volunteer base.
- Provide volunteers with a positive and pleasant experience, and an opportunity to learn new skills.
- Build public awareness of the operations of city government.
- Develop closer ties to the community served.
Volunteer Opportunities
- The Communications Department welcomes volunteers for various work groups. Call (928) 203-5179 or apply now.
- The Parks and Recreation Department offers opportunities at community events, sport coaching, Park Ambassadors and the Park Ranger program. Call (928) 282-7098 or email sedonarec@sedonaaz.gov.
- The Sedona Police Department welcomes volunteers with or without previous law enforcement experience. Call (928) 228-3100 or apply now.
- City Commissions occasionally have vacancies and residents are encouraged to apply. Learn about applying for City Commissions.
- The Sedona Trails Pathways System (ST&PS) needs volunteers for trail maintenance and various trail projects. Call (928) 204-7111 and learn more about ST&PS volunteers.
