Restaurants and Hotels
In May 2014 the Sedona City Council approved changes to the wastewater rate structure. Customers classified as Hotels, Resorts or Restaurants have the option to change the method in which their bill is calculated. For sewer charges billed after July 1, 2014, customers classified strictly as restaurants may elect either water usage-based or square footage rates, instead of per seat-based rates. As of July 1, 2015, restaurant customers were no longer permitted to use the seat-based rate and must use square footage rates or the water usage-based rate to calculate their sewer bill. Customers classified as Hotel or Resort may elect water usage-based rates instead of per room or unit based calculations.
If you elect to change the way your wastewater bill is calculated, please complete the appropriate form below. In order to elect a water usage-based rate, the premises must be served by a separately billed and unshared water meter or meters and your water provider must be able to produce at least 12 months of water usage history (measured from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014) for the establishment.
